The Super Bowl is right around the corner and with thoughts of that come thoughts of food. We all know that you can't watch the Super Bowl without some delicious snacks on the menu. For us, that quite often includes soda, chips, pretzels and pizza. We would love to do wings, but have you ever tried to buy wings anywhere near the Super Bowl? Good luck! Heck, I'm going shopping this weekend and I bet I'll still have some trouble finding some.
Now, along with good food must come good condiments. We always have the standards: ketchup, mustard, ranch dressing and some sort of dips. This year, however, we're going to be adding TABASCO® Original Red to that listing. Why? Well, because it's something that Roger and Jim and Justin all enjoy and I've decided to maybe even try it out for myself. I've been told that the ingredients (salt, red pepper and vinegar) do more than add flavor, they enhance it. Well, I like a bit of a kick to my food and anything that enhances sounds good to me!
Justin likes his on tacos, potatoes and even chicken & waffles. I've seen Jim use it on his eggs. Me? I think I'm going to try some on a slice of pizza this year. I'm sure it will add a little kick to that pepperoni and will be delicious!
This just in: I checked with Justin and he has used it on pizza and I was right! He said, "It helps to bring out the subtle spices in the meat and improves the body of the sauce." Wow! I really want to give it a try now.
If you'd like to serve up some delicious foods this Super Bowl or heck, anytime, check out the Game-Day Party Menu. It's full of ideas and recipes that you can try out. :) If you're a pizza lover, make sure you check out Pizza Perfected! It all sounds so delicious to me!
