Walgreens Express Scripts

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I'm sure that some of you have heard what happened between Walgreens and Express Script. It seems that after negotiations have failed, the two will no longer be partnering. According to Walgreens, this affects not only the average customer but our nation's military.

What does all this mean to the average joe schmoe on the street? It means that if your health care uses Express Script, you won't be able to get your prescriptions filled at Walgreens. Some Walgreens' customers are frustrated by this need to change pharmacies.

For those customers who wish to remain with Walgreens, they are currently offering a discount to join their Walgreens Prescription Savings Club. During the month of January, an individual can join for only $5. If you wanted to sign up your entire family*, it would cost only $10. With your membership you would receive savings on all generic medications and over 8,000 brand name medications. Typically, annual membership costs $20 for individuals and $35 per family.

For more information or to stay updated on what's happening, follow Walgreens on Twitter or if Facebook is more your style, you can like Walgreens on Facebook

*Family memberships include you, your spouse, dependents under the age of 22 as well as your pets.
