(almost) Wordless Wednesday

Ahh, Wednesday...The middle of the week...and as usual, a day that I feel a bit meh about. I'm so much more of a Monday or Friday kinda gal. Wednesday's rarely bring anything special or exciting. Of course, now that I've said that, we all know that from now on Wednesdays will start being frantic or something along those lines.

Oh wait, Wednesdays always bring this post so how can I complain? This is actually one of my favorite posts of the week and every since the girls announced that the February theme was Red, I've been seeing red everywhere! In fact, I actually stopped on the side of the road, yesterday, to take this picture:

I pass this barn twice a day on my drive to/from town. It's actually one of my favorite sights. I smile every time I drive past it. I can't really say why. Maybe it's because I'm a small town girl and barns like these are slowly disappearing from the landscape. So many have fallen into such sad states of repair, so when I see one like this, it brings a smile to my face.

Have a great Wednesday, everyone! Find something that makes you smile!

Old barns make me smile, too. The old style of red barn is disappearing here also. I have an eye on a few in my area that are slowly sagging, leaning or falling apart. Very sad. I do miss the simplicity of community barn raising, but I know maintenance on these landmarks is often too expensive. Thanks for the smile!

This is great. I love old barns like this, but they're hard to find around where I live still painted a pretty color.
