Menu Plan Monday

It's Monday and I'm finishing up a wonderful weekend with my boys. They had a half day of school on Friday and today off so we've had extra time. It's so hard for me to watch them go back to their Dad's every week but I know that for now, it's what needs to happen. I know that Roger has talked about living with me so who knows, they might end up living here at some point. Until then though, I'll enjoy every moment I get to share with them and I'll keep working on turning our house into our home.

Now, one of the things that for me makes a house a home is the delicious smell of yummy things cooking. There's not much nicer than walking into a house and smelling baking or a soup that's been bubbling away. Yum, Yum, Yummy! I'm finding out just how much I love to cook and since I got my kitchen cleaned up, it's been even more of a pleasure. I made homemade lasagna last night and oh my gosh it was delicious. So good that Ben thinks I should give Donna the recipe..hehe. I know it's kind of petty but it makes me grin to hear that I'm a better cook than her.

So, I'll be here alone this week but that's no excuse not to eat delicious food, right? I didn't do a great shopping trip on Friday so I may end up having to be a bit creative next week. Thank goodness for the IGA here in town. Their prices are high, their selection minimal but I'm thankful they're there for emergency oops I'm out of milk trips.

Monday- French Toast
Tuesday- Leftover Lasagna
Wednesday- Taco Chicken Packets
Thursday- Steak w/ broccoli
Friday- BBQ Chicken Wraps (HG*, pg. 71)
Saturday- Chicken Quesdillas (HG, pg. 121)
Sunday- Chili

Ok, this looks like one super yummy week of food! I'll just need to run into the IGA to get some more milk and some tortillas for the wraps/quesadillas.
