How Wheat Works

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Wheat Food Council. All opinions are 100% mine.

Ok, all of you know that I love websites where you can learn something, feel like you're playing a game and it gives back to people who need it. Plus, let's face it, we also know that I'm a bit of a green geek who wants to grow her own garden this coming year now that I'm in a place where I can do that. So, bring on How Wheat Works. It's this really cool site brought to the internet junkies of the world by the Wheat Foods Council.

How Wheat Works is an interactive program that allows users to plant, harvest, mill, bake and then virtually eat wheat. Each phase only takes a few minutes and then about 24 hours later, you'll receive an email reminding you to come back and do the next phase. Now, the really awesome part of this is that for each person who completes all of the phases, the Wheat Foods Council will donate 2 pounds of flour, up to 90,000 pounds, to OperationHomeFront.net. They're an organization that provide assistance to U.S. troops and their families when they need it.

Have any of you checked out www.wheatfoods.org? I hadn't until today and discovered a whole new world of fun and education on the site. I can't wait to show it to the boys so that they can learn about what a valuable and healthy resource wheat is.
